Understanding perceptiveness

Perception is the subtle core of some of the greatest human attributes; it employs empathy, understanding, intuition, knowledge, sense, and wisdom, among other traits. To be perceptive is to realize through keen but nearly conscience observation the slightest details of both the physical and the metaphysical; perception can be as simple as realizing someone is thirsty and offering them water, or as complex as perceiving someone’s well-hidden jealousy. Perception will reveal traps and tricks, and bring to light the beautiful aspects about fellow people and all other living and nonliving things, when used correctly. It also brings success; Sherlock Holmes was known for his keen observations on life, drawing deep conclusions based on the simplest details that, without his sharp perceptiveness, he would never have caught.
