Testimonies: Is channeling a real experience or is it faked?
IS CHANNELING REAL OR FAKED?
About 10 years ago I was on vacation in Kentucky. I had borrowed an audio book from a friend and the interesting title was Angelspeake. The main thrust of the book was that a lady had an experience one night of “hearing” a voice and the voice said, “I am your Guardian Angel and I would like for you to get out of bed, get pencil and paper, and write what I tell you.” She reluctantly did so and out of the conversation that followed (this is oversimplifying, but) came the book that teaches the reader how to “talk with your own Guardian Angel”.
I began listening to the book and was very interested. I was in the habit of praying but rarely felt that I had a clear cut answer to my prayers. I tried this and it really worked. I would write a question and the answer would come immediately. I was amazed but throughout the process I kept thinking, “this might just be my own subconscious doing all of this.” I did not hear an audible voice – the voice was “in my head” but it did not seem like the usual voice that we “hear” when we “argue with ourselves”. And it seemed to have a personality all its own, which was loving, gentle, and never “pushy”.
After about 50 pages of hand written material I reached the point in which I said, “Angels, I have too many doubts about this – my integrity will not allow me to continue. I am through!” The answer was, “Your problem is that you have been trying to ‘prove us’. Please do this: In the morning just ask us, ‘Angels, do you have anything for me?’
The next morning I did as they asked and they gave me 9 topics about metaphysical subjects that I had no conscious knowledge of at all – such as: What happens to a person immediately after death? And, Are there souls living in other localities other than earth..that is, on other planets and even localities beyond your imagination?. They gave me 9 such topics that “blew me away” and I was “hooked”. I wrote on each topic for about 3 to 5 long hand pages. Then they gave me 9 more topics as fascinating as the first. So a book was formed and typed. To make a long story short, another complete book was produced in the same way.
In addition to the book material, if I had an decision to make I would consult the Angels (my own Angel is named Joel) and readily receive helpful opinion. One day, about two years into the process I was simply thinking to myself, I wonder if Joel could give me short stories, poetry, and that sort of thing
