WISHIN’ AIN’T ASKIN’ “WHEN?”

Skies’r darker out here

where the forest begins

n’stars’r brighter

the past few months

it seems to me

peacefully comfortable

amongst wildflowers and nightime

my earthly kin

God tell me his name

I’ll say it outloud

then I will whisper it in self-refrain

makin’ his name n’my breath

one

delivered into a black hole

that I imagine

has our names over its metaphysical door,

In response

the heavens shot back

a star

fired hot white

across its celestial canvas

piercing the backdrop of ink blue

a sign

perhaps

from God His Ownself.

I see my chance

I hang a wish

on my universal gift

attachin’ a single tear

as a symbol

of my urgency

before

my heart sends it back

with a wish.

So not to cause the Almighty to think

I’ve lost more faith’n I already have…

So not to be messin’ up cosmic plans

made apart from any consultation with me…

So not to break my promise of

not askin’ “When?”

A wish I send…

Hell,

a wish won’t hurt nothin’

I imagine

and…

wishin’ ain’t askin’ “When?”

Of all the most academic and complicated studies associated with philosophy (epistemology, metaphysics, and anesthetics), none can engage man’s mind like the philosophy of love. Love binds all things, and endures all things; without love, man is left without a purpose. Love’s existence cannot be rationally explained; but it is evident that it exists in ever person’s heart.

Trying to rationalize love is impossible: Love has no physicality’s; it varies from person to person; and love has no direct source or beginning. Instead of trying speculate on where I think love comes from, (because that’s what everyone does) I will instead admit that there are some things that we as humans should accept by means of faith. The fact that we can’t explain love is what makes it so beautiful. It is the only thing that we as humans cannot “explain away” in metaphysical language, or over-rationalize with psychological research.
