Real magic resources
Just a brief few words of encouragement to all those reading this who may want to “cause change to occur in conformity with their will.” Many hours, days, weeks and now years have I spent in search of magical, mystical, physical, mental and spiritual disciplines, studies, books, methods, orders and teachings.
Every moment of this search has opened my eyes. Sometimes they have opened to see the majesty and endless wildness that makes up the universe. Other times they have opened to the terror of my own ignorance and cultural programming. Yet even other times these eyes have opened to vast chasms of nothingness, perhaps the most beautiful and amazing of all.
This path began with a nagging urge to find something outside of the work week and money concerns that dominated the lives of my parents. Punk rock grabbed my attention in the form of a Profane Existence magazine in downtown Minneapolis one fateful night. Basements full of sweaty mohawk kids and screaming musicians allowed me to get in touch with my anger, and dance it into exhausted bliss.
Next came all the protests. First, Anti-racist action harnessed my rage and I marched with them on a few outings in the streets of Minneapolis. I read a copy of “Industrial Society and its Future” by F.C. and it explained parts of my thinking that I had not yet put into words.
Then I heard of Earth First! These folks took my hand and dragged me deep down into the rabbit hole. Then came a weekend retreat learning how to resist the Earth Rapers, and a woman spoke about Minnehaha Park and the destruction it faced if we didn’t try to defend the place. In short, this led to the Minnehaha Free State, which I will not try to explain since the veils of civilization make it very difficult to understand for those who did not see it with their own eyes. Freedom, wildness, and a distinct absence of state control allowed a few of us lucky humanimals to see the possibilities denied us by our education. No longer would we get herded around like the rest of the Sheeple.
More and more resistance and struggle against various heads of the civilized Hydra: biotechnology, deforestation, TV, globalization, republicrats and isms of all kinds, including a struggle against civilized anarchism.
Enter yoga, Hawaii, England, Aleister Crowley (rhymes with Holy), Regardie, Christopher Hyatt and newfalcon.com. First I waded through endless amounts of metaphysical books that promise much but deliver little. I see many potential comrades
