Poetry: Relationships

Today I woke up to your smile,

I turned over because I didn’t want to give one,

Back to you,

I don’t think you understand,

How I’ve been feeling about you now,

I wanted to change this last night,

And it’s not that the fire in my heart is out,

I touch you and my skin has goosbumps,

I never thought there’d be anyone,

To show me,

I was an unbeliever,

I took it as the metaphysical,

But then I kissed you,

I realized how lovely you are,

When you smile in the morning,

After you’ve messed up the night
