What I learn from A Course in Purple Star Astrology

A few months ago, I was possessed with a strong and keen desire to know more about Purple Star Astrology. This article is written as a summary of the concept of Chinese Metaphysical Science, in particular to Purple Star Astrology.

First of all, let us have an overview of Chinese Metaphysical Science.

The Ancient Chinese Metaphysical Science is based on the concept of Heaven Luck, Earth Luck and Human Luck.

Heaven Luck predicts the potential of a person, his character traits, his talents and aptitude based on the birth year, month, day and hour of the person. We do not have much control over Heaven Luck. For example, we can’t control the genes that we inherit from our parents. We can’t control where and when and to which family we are born into. Purple Star Astrology and Bazi Fortune Telling are examples of Heaven Luck.

Earth Luck presented the opportunities and threats governed by the environment and circumstances that a person places himself in. To a certain extent, we can choose to live and work in a certain location and industry. Feng Shui is part of the study of Earth Luck which tells us how we can best make use of our environment.

Human Luck refers to our decision.

Secondly, let us consider this question: what is Purple Star Astrology?

Purple Star Astrology was believed to have its origin 4,000 years ago and made popular in Song Dynasty about 1000 years ago. Purple Star is also known as the Emperor’s star. Purple Star Astrology was so named as it was originally used to predict the fortune of the royal family.

Purple Star Astrology is a system of fortune telling by charting a person life into 12 palaces, and placing a minimum of 36 stars into the 12 palaces. The exact placing of the stars depends on the birth year, month, date and time of the person.

In Purple Star Astrology, the palaces that are diagonally opposite each other have stronger inter-relationship. For example, Parents Palace is diagonally opposite Health Palace. This denotes that our body, our genes come from our parents. However much we want to take care of our body by eating healthy food and exercise, we do have to admit that our genes have a great impact our health.

So what have I learnt from the course?

Purple Star Astrology tells us accurately what kind of person we are, what hidden talents we have, what character traits we possess.

For example, an analysis of the chart may foresee a lady to possess a mind-set of a career woman, with a daring, indomitable character and a vocal attitude. In this case, she will not be very contented to be a housewife devoting all her time to her children. She is happiest when scaling up the corporate ladder.

It also tells us the opportunities that Heaven provides for us. For example, when is the best time to start a business or when is our best chance of finding our soul mate.

So the lesson is: Know yourself! Develop yourself to your full potential and make full use of our God-given talents.

We are the owner of our destiny. Fortune telling will tell us when to do what, but ultimately we have to make the decision to go ahead or not.

So don’t go to a fortune teller and expects him to make a decision for you. Please do remember that all of us are accountable for our actions.
